Robert Ray Sculthorp, 77, of Indianapolis, passed away on April 11, 2013. He was born on February 1, 1936 in Fordville, ND to Lewis and Bertha Sculthorp. He graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business. He was a Korean War Veteran, serving in the United States Air Force Medical Corps. Bob was a proud member of the Fishers Masonic Lodge #533, Murat Shrine, and the Kachina Club. He was the founder of the Murat Mobil Nobles, a 30 year member of the Royal Order of Jesters Court 15, and the American Legion Post 470, having served as a Judge Advocate. Bob is survived by his wife of 33 years, Nancy; his children, Rob (Cathy) and Christi; granddaughters, Megan and Corinne; and his brother, Dennis. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Elwood and Durwood. A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, April 17 at Cross and Crown Lutheran Church, 5233 E. 79th Street, Indianapolis. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, April 16 at Indiana Funeral Care and Crematory, Harry W Moore Chapel, with a Masonic service at 7 p.m. A private burial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Bob’s honor to Shriner’s Hospitals for Children, c/o Murat Shrine, 510 N. New Jersey St., Indianapolis, IN 46204.
